Mountain Mojito

Chic Choc Spiced Rum Easy Classic

With an irresistible freshness, the mojito is the star of all cocktails on sunny days. Here the mint has been replaced by basil which brings a whole new dimension to this cocktail utterly refreshing. Try it and you will love it!


  • 45 ml (1 ½ oz.) Chic Choc Spiced Rum
  • 15 ml (½ oz.) simple syrup or sugar cube
  • 15 ml (½ oz.) lime or lemon juice
  • A few drops of Angostura bitters (optional)
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • 8-10 fresh basil leaves
  • Sparkling water or ginger beer
  • Bunch of fresh basil
  • 1 star anise
  • Ice cubes


  • In a highball glass pour in the Chic Choc Spiced Rum, simple syrup, lime juice and Angostura bitters.
  • Add basil and lime quarters and crush using a muddler.
  • Add ice cubes to the top of the glass.
  • Stir with a spoon as you are topping up with sparkling water or ginger beer.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and star anise.
