It was created around 1880 in Louisville, USA by the colonel James Pepper who is said to have brought his recipe to the Waldorf Astoria. In 2015, the mayor of Louisville, recognized it as the official cocktail of the city. Our Maple Old Fashioned is a delicious version you can enjoy on ice with an orange zest.

- 30 ml (1 oz) Cabot Trail maple whisky
- 2 dashes of chocolate bitters (optional)
- Orange zest
